Nrithyam is a dance company and school that celebrates the depth and diversity of Indian dance through classical, folk and contemporary expression. Led by Artistic Director Swapna Velayudham and Director Karthikeyan Durairaj, Nrithyam’s work is rooted in cultural storytelling and community connection, bringing people together to experience the richness, rhythm and creative energy of Indian dance. Founded in 2019, Nrithyam School of Dance offers an open and supportive space where people of all ages can move, express and connect, creating a community grounded in culture and shared creative growth.

We work across Coventry and online, making our classes accessible to learners wherever they are. Our programmes include adult sessions, Bharatanatyam training and dedicated classes for children and young adults with special needs. In partnership with a UK charity, we design sessions that are responsive, compassionate and centred on each dancer’s abilities, celebrating progress in every form.
